Keep answer generation as a separate step. Request a contextual offer afterward, render it in a labeled surface, and continue the chat if the request returns no-fill.

How does Knobase keep organic AI answers separate?

Knobase does not rewrite the organic answer. The AI service generates its response, then may request an offer for a publisher-controlled placement such as a post-answer card.

Disclosure is part of the offer object. The user can see that the recommendation is sponsored.

Fail open on purpose

No eligible product, a policy block, an error, or a timeout should return serve: false. The caller must not treat that as a reason to break the conversation.

Publisher controls that matter

Placement, frequency, and category policy stay with the AI service. Knobase supplies candidates and decision outcomes; it does not silently insert copy into the answer stream.
